The Island Trail
Southeast Asia has more islands than you could visit in a lifetime, and each one has its own personality. We spent a month hopping between them — from the limestone karsts of Thailand to the volcanic shores of Indonesia.
Turquoise Dreams
The water here defies description. Shades of turquoise, emerald, and sapphire that you'd think were photoshopped if you saw them in a picture. We snorkeled over coral gardens teeming with life, kayaked through hidden lagoons, and watched bioluminescent plankton turn the night sea into a field of stars.
The People
But what made these islands truly special wasn't the scenery — it was the people. Fishermen who shared their catch with us. Children who taught us to weave palm fronds. A grandmother who made the best coconut curry we've ever tasted, served on a plastic table with the best ocean view in the world.
Every island was a reminder that paradise isn't just a place. It's the warmth of the people who call it home.
